Happy New Year! First Update of 2021 is ready and there are news for the next one, too.
The assignment of existing vehicles to a new unit (e.g. being used as an reserve apparatus now) has been made much more easy. Logged-in users can store an apparatus by clicking a button and suggest it at the new unit.
As been announced, we do have an additional way of presenting some information for you. Due to technical problems, the article about the Los Angeles County Fire Department is available in german only, at this time. We are working on it, please try again in a few days.
We do have also experienced some problems with the character sets. If you are aware of some missed display errors, please inform us.
There will be a structure change in the near future, too. In case you bookmarked some of the continents, countries, states or counties, these will cease to work in a few days and have to be set one time more. We apologize for this one-time inconvenience.
|November 23, 2020||This database now exists since over seven and a half years. There were times of fast development, but also long periods, when nothing new occured. But with the help of some diligent users and nowadays also an additional moderator, we were able maintain a collection of now over 25,000 units! A whole tenthousand stations from providers all over the US and Germany, but also some other european and abroad countries show, that the project is working. And it rises! There are also some backend changes, even if they were not communicated properly. This shall change from now on.
A bit older are informations, which are shown at the county level. Used in California only to this time, for example to tell why Kern Countydoes not have CalFIRE stations. Suggestions to firstname.lastname@example.org are appreciated due to being a flexible system not being able to changed by form now.
There is also the possibility to designate an units status as Unknown, if some does not know if this particular unit is frontline or cross-staffed, for example.
You can change from unit to vehicle times faster, too.
Today the following changes were made:
Future changes planned:
